Emirates Cabin Crew CRM Training and the Changes in the “New Normal” of Aviation
The aim of the presentation is to provide an overview of Emirates cabin crew CRM training and the changes in the “new normal” of aviation.
Overview of Emirates Cabin Crew training with focus on Recurrent CRM training for cabin crew. Emphasis will be given on the Combined (flight crew together with cabin crew) CRM training program, the resources used (classroom and cabin simulators) and the benefits from the combined sessions.
Analysis of the yearly designing process for recurrent CRM curriculum. Example of activities and possibly videos of classroom sessions (for participants, who can not use cabin simulators as a resource). Examples of practical scenarios used for practical simulator CRM training.
Identify the need of highly competent instructors to facilitate the cabin crew CRM training program (especially the combined recurrent sessions). Emphasis on the changes that the “new normal” of aviation has brought to the CRM training design and implementation (e.g more online training content and less trainees per course).
Summary of benefits from a well designed CRM training program combined with continuous training and development of CRM instructors. Real life examples of Emirates cabin crew actions and behaviour in operational incidents.
