Henrique Drugowich de Felicio, Head of Training, Embraer Services & Support

Henrique Drugowich was recently appointed as the Head of Training for Embraer Services & Support. With 15 years of previous experience in several customer support and strategy positions inside Embraer, Henrique will lead the training business across the Commercial, Business and Defense segments, from new technology trials to the development and support of learning systems and training devices, in addition to the recently launched Embraer Training Academy, in Brazil. He holds a Mechatronics Engineering Degree from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and is a huge fan of eLearning and sports.

Captain Fabiano Cypel, Flight Crew Training Manager, Embraer Services & Support

Captain Fabiano Cypel has been involved with pilot training since 1995, at his first job as flying instructor. He moved to a major airline as an instrument/simulator instructor teaching new first officers. He was then hired than as a first officer at Rio Sul Airlines, a regional company from legacy carrier VARIG in Brazil. After 10 years flying B737 and EMB145, working as a TRI as well, moved to Embraer in 2006. Since than Captain Cypel has travelled around the globe as an OEM instructor pilot supporting many airlines and customers that introduced Embraer jets into their network. Meanwhile got a degree in Business Administration – UFRGS, Brazil and acquired two additional ATP licenses besides the one from ANAC (Brazilian CAA), one from FAA-USA and one from EASA – Belgium CAA. With this broad view in respect to ICAO, FAA and EASA training requirements and more than 5000 hours of instruction time, Captain Cypel has been appointed the team leader for pilots and cabin crew training. Moreover, of course, as any other Brazilian, a big fan of soccer.

Just after celebrating 50 years and the first flight of the Bandeirante (EMB-110), Embraer and the whole industry had been hit by an extraordinary downturn like never before. When the joint venture plans were undone, we found ourselves fueled by an unique challenge. The new normal compel ourselves to adapt in order to expand our training presence and deliver new training technologies, with  exploration of eLearning, AR/VR and more to come. The future is here.
